General Maintenance Tips
- Oil Change
The oil in most vehicles should be changed every 3,000-5,000 miles. This might be lower than recommended by the manufacturer, but is vital to the life of today’s newer engines. When exactly you should have your oil changed is determined by the type of driving you do. For example, if you primarily drive in the city or you do heavy towing, you will want to change your oil every 3,000 miles.
- Chassis Lube
This will be performed at every oil change. This is done to protect your ball joints, suspension and steering linkage.
- Tire Pressure
- Inspection of All Fluids
- Transmission Flush
This should be performed every 40,000-50,000 miles. We add a cleaning detergent to the old fluid and do a complete flush of the entire system, using up to 16 quarts of fluid. We complete the process by adding a conditioner to the new fluid. By maintaining your vehicle, you can save thousands of dollars in future repairs.
